Well…the game did not go as I hoped; but I guess nothing can last forever – not even the Patriot’s reign. Congratulations to the Eagles on a great game. The good news is we, as a church, still have a perfect record of predicting the winner with our Souper Bowl of Caring challenge. And we were able to raise $522 to provide food for those in need. So, regardless of who won the Super Bowl, we celebrate a win for our community. Thanks to all of you who gave so generously.
And now…On to more important things for the life of our church. I am officially designating February-March “Friends Months.” Of course, anytime is a good time to invite friends to join you at church, but February – March is an especially good time. We have lots happening during Lent: special services for Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday; Soup for the Lenten Soul on Wednesdays; Easter Eggstravaganza on Palm Sunday; our Sunday morning worship service; and Sunday School Lenten studies.
