We are in uncharted territory these days. COVID-19 has caused us to re-think everything we do. Every cancellation has a ripple effect on our community life. How do we remain faithful and responsible? The decisions we must make are not easy. It goes against everything within me to cancel church activities. At the same time, it seems irresponsible of us to ignore attempts to flatten the curve of the spread of this virus. We have made the decision to cancel our Lenten Soup Suppers. We will livestream the study portion at 7 pm on Wednesdays. You can access the study through facebook: spumchou.
Our livestream worked very well last Sunday, and we hope many of you will take advantage of that on Sundays until the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. Log on to facebook: spumchou at 10:30 am on Sunday. If you need assistance in accessing the livestream, we can help you. We will also be posting the service to our youtube channel within the next day after worship. Again, if you need help accessing the channel, ask for help.
If you choose to worship with a few of us live on Sunday, we will practice social distancing, asking everyone to keep a 6-ft area vacant around you. We will limit all physical contact. We will ask everyone to use hand sanitizer coming and leaving. We will not pass offering plates in the pews. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (headache, fever, shortness of breath) or have been around someone who might be ill, please stay home for the protection of others. If you are in the most vulnerable group of our members, please consider joining us online.
We will be giving updates as things change on our facebook page or through email. Stay safe, keep the faith, spend time in prayer and check on each other.
